MetroFibre Package Changes 2023

Dear client.

MetroFibre has announced further package changes for 2023. These changes are applicable to all internet service providers on the MetroFibre network.

February 2023: (Completed)

1st of February 2023. All 200Mbps packages were doubled up to 400Mbps at the same price.
The 200Mbps package was discontinued.

March 2023: (Completed)

1st of March 2023. R350 price reduction on the 1Gbps package.

April 2023:

50Mbps and 100Mbps upgrades:

50Mbps and 100Mbps customers will be upgraded to 400Mbps** until the 1st of June 2023. Thereafter they will be downgraded to their original package, unless the customer decides to upgrade.
This provides customers the opportunity to test faster speeds at no additional cost.

** Please note. Not all customers have dual band routers with gigabit ports. Only customers with dual band routers and gigabit ports will receive over 100Mbps. If your router is not dual band and only has 100Mbps ports, you will receive 100Mbps or less. If you would like a dual band router, please contact our sales team for a quote.

May 2023:

Introduction of 250Mbps package:

1st of May 2023, the 250Mbps package will be introduced at a price point of R999.00 per month.

Customers who would like to upgrade or downgrade to this package must please contact our sales team.

June 2023:

1st of June 2023. All 50Mbps packages prices will be increased by R50.

This adjustment will be done automatically from our end. No further action is required.

Customers who cannot afford the price increases are encouraged to downgrade their packages.
30 days’ notice needs to be provided to accounts@jumbotech.co.za to downgrade their packages.

August 2023:

1st of August 2023. All 100Mbps packages prices will be increased by R50.

This adjustment will be done automatically from our end. No further action is required.

Customers who cannot afford the price increases are encouraged to downgrade their packages.
30 days’ notice needs to be provided to accounts@jumbotech.co.za to downgrade their packages.

Any further changes will be communicated with customers.
